  1. Who is Britrisk Safety?
    A health and safety consultancy, that has delivered services to petrol retailers in the UK for 16 years.
  2. What Does the Britrisk Service Comprise?
    A detailed audit of your Safety Management System, undertaking the full range of risk assessments that the law requires of Petrol Retailers and ensuring all safety procedures are regularly updated.  In addition, we won’t just advise you on what you need to do, we will do a lot of the work for you when we visit.
  3. Why do I need Britrisk and what are the benefits?

  4. How often will Britrisk visit?
    We will visit you once a year for approximately 3 hours, but we can arrange to visit more often if you wish.

    Yes.  When we are not on site, we’ll fully support you via telephone and e-mail.  If you have a serious incident we’ll arrange an immediate response.  We also supply the safety signs and notices you need.
  6. Health and Safety is complicated, do I have to do anything?
    Yes, we will show you what you need to do between our visits but make sure this is kept short and simple.
  7. My PO has told me I have to comply with ‘DSEAR’.  What is this?
    The ‘Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations is potentially complicated legislation, stringently enforced by your Local Authority.  There are harsh penalties for fuel Retailers if they fail to comply with DSEAR.  The Britrisk service takes full account of the requirements of DSEAR.
  8. What assurances to I have regarding the quality of the Britrisk Service?
